Douglas M. Burghardt, President

Doug studied Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. After serving in the Army Security Agency of the U.S. Army, Doug joined the IBM Corporation as a Customer Engineer. He later graduated from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a B. S. in Economics in 1971. After locating in Texas, he studied programming at the University of Houston. Doug was a successful branch manager for two companies in the computer leasing and maintenance business from 1965 to 1981.

Doug joined The F. Dohmen Company as a salesman for their AIM-RITE pharmacy management system, where he was responsible for conceiving and developing a new, less expensive AIM-RITE product for use on PC computers. The product premiered at the 1981 Wisconsin Pharmacist Convention as the first microcomputer-based multi-user, multi-tasking pharmacy management system in the country. Doug then led the AIM-RITE Computer Division of The F. Dohmen Company as the Director of Marketing, also responsible for all programming and support. Under his direction, the AIM-RITE Computer Division quickly expanded their customer base to 85 workstations in just 10 months.

Doug left The F. Dohmen Company in May of 1986. Beginning with what was orginally to be an application to help manage I.V. prescription compounding, Doug developed the Sure Scrip(tm) pharmacy management system. Doug founded Solid Systems, which later became Lake Country Systems. His vision and innovation continue to guide the development of all of LCS's products and services.

Laurie Burghardt, Support/Sales Manager

In addition to her responsibilities as CFO, Laurie is responsible for marketing, sales, and customer service for LCS. She began her career as a part-time retail pharmacy technician. While working toward a degree in Marketing, Laurie joined The F. Dohmen Company in 1985 to take over the AIM-RITE Computer Division's customer support duties. She earned a B.B.A in Marketing from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1994.

During her 12 years with The F. Dohmen Company she rose to the position of AIM-RITE Division Supervisor. Laurie managed user group meetings, served as liaison with the programming staff on behalf of end-users, and monitored customer satisfaction. While her main focus was always on customer support, her responsibilities expanded to include sales, marketing, and product development.

Laurie joined LCS in 1990. She doubled LCS's customer base in the first year - far exceeding expectations. Laurie has contributed directly to the many features and innovations in the LCS products and services.
