Drug File
- Sure Scrip(tm) uses First DataBank's(tm) drug file information.
- Drug file contains up to 8 carrier no pay flags along with unlimited number of individual formularies.
- Formularies can be updated by generic name allowing for one change, such as a new per unit MAC price, to occur across all NDC #'s of the same chemical.
- Space for Medicare information such as HCPCS, Modifier, CMN #, and Medicare Units.
- A drug's specific price code can be accessed from its drug record; all retails for the various breakpoints will display
- Allows the user to add up to 5 lines of 45 characters of free-form information about the drug which will display when the drug is chosen on the fill screen.

Fill Features
Sure Scrip(tm) prescription-filling module has many unique features.
- Customers love the timesaving "tag" function. A user can go to a customer's profile, tag any number of RX's and perform a number of actions on those specific RX's. They can choose to fill them, one right after the other. They can also move them to another person's profile, delete, discontinue, or transfer them. They can change the payment method (i.e. from cash to insurance or vice versa), resubmit, adjudicate, print a claim, label, or profile request.
- A popular feature is the SIG file, which allows Sure Scrip to blend the best of all worlds for entry of directions onto an RX; SIGs can be concatenated by the use of a space delimiter, and still have free-form portions entered within the same directions.
- Current and past refill retail, cost, and markup information are displayed on the fill screen for better management of RX pricing and third party acceptance. Stops are built into the system to alert you if a retail or reimbursement amount drops below your cost.
- Unique data elements necessary for billing purposes - like HCPCS codes, ICD-9 codes, POS, TOS, repack fees, I/O and status indicators - display at the time of filling to insure that all the data is in place and avoid rejection of the claim.

Health Care Screen
- Sure Scrip(tm) is equipped with a complete ICD-9 database to assist in establishing detailed patient care information. Appropriate ICD-9 codes based on drugs can be scrolled.
- Contains fields to store basic patient chart information such as age, weight, and height.
- Areas for most standard lab results e.g. blood pressure, blood/sugar, and LDL/HDL cholesterol levels.
- A free-form section allows for pharmaceutical care notes.

Insurance
- Logging and billing of interventions for cognitive services are provided in the NCPDP, HCFA 1500, and WMAP coding systems.
- Customer insurance records contain all the NCPDP fields with the standard dictated lengths
- Three levels of deductibles within the customer insurance record - precludes the need for multiple insurance carrier records.
- Complex plans can be accommodated within one carrier.
- Processing insurance claims are completed in up to 10 user-defined frequencies, allowing one or more insurance clerks to be responsible and process all, or just their specific, carriers.

Integrated Accounts Receivable
Sure Scrip(tm) has a fully integrated accounts receivable (A/R) module.
- All current and historical transactions are stored on a customer's A/R profile.
- Information can be accessed directly from the customer's prescription profile for quick inquiries regarding any and all transactions posted to the customer's account.
- All charges (whether entered during the filling of the RX or afterward) are posted real-time and can be easily edited or deleted if necessary.
- The elimination of aging prevents many problems in the event you need to regenerate statements.
- A generous area on the customer's A/R profile is available for notes designed for credit limits, holds or collections information.

Integrated Communications
- The communications program portions necessary for adjudications are self-contained - called as any other function used by the system.

Sure Scrip has a module that accommodates pharmacies that service patients in assisted living facilities, CBRF's and/or traditional nursing home facilities.
- The integrated package provides an additional patient entry screen with more detailed diet, treatment, and patient care information.
- Entering a physician's order is very similar to a retail customer's RX since all data files are shared; only the addition of administration times and any administration instructions need be added.
- Default administration times specific to each home can be implemented at the time of filling.
- Updating of unit dose totals is not restricted to a batch procedure that can only be run at the end of the billing cycle.
- Printing of MAR's (med charts) and orders are simply additional reports that can be generated on demand and customized to please even the most picky home administrator.

Pricing
LCS has developed a unique pricing strategy system within Sure Scrip.
- Pricing strategies can be assigned to a therapy class of drugs and then fine-tuned down to specific NDC #'s if necessary
- Special schedules can be set up for individual drugs as needed.
- In addition to the standard tables created by multipliers and or flat fees, schedules can be generated by entering a desired retail and allowing the system to calculate and store the markup used to obtain that retail.

Remote Access
LCS has the ability to access your system via the Internet to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades to the software. No more waiting to receive disks in the mail which you have to take the time to load and then there is no guarantee that the problem has been resolved.
